As a student, agent or partner of Elite Further Learning Ltd, we take your privacy seriously. Here, you can learn more about your data protection rights and how we collect, use, share and store your personal info.

That includes information that we may already hold about you now and further personal information that we might collect about you, either from you or someone else.

2. About Elite Further Learning Ltd

Elite Further Learning is a company registered in the United Kingdom under the laws of England and Wales. The company is registered under Companies House with company number 16116707. We trade under the trading name of FlexiStudy UK. We provide online educational support services to students who wish to conduct study at UK institutions. We are both a data controller and processor of your information. This means that we decide which information to collect and also how we store and share your data.

3. What information we will keep

We will only keep personal information about you that is necessary for us to fulfill our service to you. This information includes the following:

  • Your Name

  • Your contact details (for example your email address)

  • Your contact address (for the purpose of registering you for a course of study)

  • A copy of your passport (also for the purpose of registering you for a course of study)

  • Unique identifiers and reference numbers that we, or others have allocated to you in order to support the registration into your choice of course of study.

  • For external audit purposes we will also keep information related to your study, this includes course information related to you, your study log, and any assignments you submit.

4. Where do we obtain your information?

We collect information directly from you and from others. The main ways we obtain your information are:

  • Directly from you via applications made by you through email, letters, telephone calls and conversations with us.

  • Through a third party agent that you assign or employ to provide your personal information.

  • Through a friend or family member that you ask to provide us with this information to support your enrollment into the course of study.

5. Why we need this information and what we use it for

Data Protection law means we need to have one or more of the following reasons for using your info:

  1. ‘Contract performance’ where we will use your information to provide you with updates on your course, including providing you with access to our learning platform, or access to learning modules via email (for example, we will use your email address to provide you with an update on your course of study if you request it).

  2. ‘Legal obligation’ this is where we must process your info by law (for example checking you are who you say you are).

  3. ‘Legitimate interest’ – we’re allowed to use your info where, on balance, the benefits are reasonable and not outweighed by your interests or legal rights.

  4. ‘Consent’ sometimes, we may ask you for your consent or permission to use info in a certain way or where the law states we must get your permission. Whenever permission is the only reason for us using the info, you have the right to change your mind. To do this, just contact us on flexistudy@proton.me.

Using your information

These are the main ways we will use your information and the reasons for doing so:

  • To provide you with access to our learning platform and/or to provide you with access to our modules. Or to answer any queries or questions you may have on your course (legitimate interest);

  • Share with our third-party partners to enroll you into your course of study with UK accredited institutions as well as to send you any certificates of study after you have completed your course of study (legitimate interest);

  • We also require information on your study log, or proof of assignment submission after you start your course with us. This is linked to your name and date of enrollment along with course studied to comply with any audits conducted by accredited centers of study.

6. Who we share info with

We treat all the info we hold as confidential. We may share your info with other people or companies, who are also required to keep the info confidential, safe and secure. This includes our main third-party partners who are responsible for enrolling you into your selected course of study as well as sending you information and certificates.

7. Using info outside the UK

We will not need to use your information outside of the UK.

8. How long we hold info

We will only hold your address and passport information until you have completed your course of study with us. Once you have completed your course of study or have received formal confirmation of a University Top-Up enrollment, our services to you will conclude and your information will be deleted. We will store your study log, course and date of enrollment for audit purposes. This is normally for a period of two years, after which we will delete this information. 9. Keeping you up to date

We may get in touch to keep you up to date on your course of study, results or for other administrative reasons related to your study. This might be by email or post.

10. Your Data Protection Rights

The law guarantees your rights about how we use your info.

If you don’t want us to use your info

You can object to how we use your info by contacting us on flexistudy@proton.me. When this happens, we have up to one month to get back to you. We will stop using the information unless there’s a good legal reason to do so (we will always tell you what that reason is).

Access to your information

You always have the right to ask whether we hold info about you. If we do, you have the right to know:

  • What the information is

  • Why we have your information

  • The way we use your information

  • Who we share your information with

  • How long we keep your information

You are also allowed to receive a free copy of your information. We can give it to you by email.

Getting your information correct

We always want to ensure that the information we have for you is up to date and accurate. If any of it is incorrect please let us know by contacting us on flexistudy@proton.me and we will correct it.

Deleting your information

You can ask us to delete your information if you think we don’t need it anymore. When you ask for info to be deleted, we have up to one month to get back to you. If we don’t go ahead and do it, we will tell you why.

Portability of info

You have the right to get some of the info you gave us in a machine-readable format.

Restricting some uses of your information

In certain situations, you can block or limit the use of info by us. This may happen where:

  • You have indicated that some of your information is incorrect and we are checking it;

  • You object to how we use your information, and we are considering whether you are right;

  • We have been using your information unlawfully, but you want us to continue to hold the information rather than delete it;

  • We no longer need to keep the information, but you have asked us to keep it because of legal claims you are involved in.

Data Protection Rights Requests

If you wish to make a Rights Request, you can do so by emailing flexistudy@proton.me. The team will respond within a month and there is no need to send a reminder during that period.
